Should Skill Priorities Recieve an Update?
So I was playing a game as Quinn against the new Aatrox where I dodged the first Q, I got hit by the second knock-up then he e'd into third q, so I vaulted off of him while he was mid q animation thinking the knockback would interrupt it giving me space and so I wouldn't have to flash away as the enemy jg was closing in. Unfortunately I found out that the knockback doesn't cancel his Q and he hit me with his knock up while I was mid air back flipping away, knocking me up instead. Because the animation on his Q is longer than the cc on vault he effectively just ignored it then cancelled the escape from my vault, leading to a very quick death.
Now this is fine, these sort of interactions are just part of learning League even if at times they have you scratching your head and checking replays to make sure that something really happened like this one did for me. More often then not Skill Priority in league is more about what was made more recently then what makes logical sense and although that can be frustrating it can also lead to some weird and wonderful moments. Saying that though, it can also introduce an artificial learning curve to new players having to memorise thousands of unique interactions. It also makes some champs feel more frustrating to play against then they really are. For instance Camille and hookshot is one of the most annoying abilities to play against in my experience just because she will continue to move towards your squishy Ashe and stun her even if you hit her in the face with a giant Crystal Arrow which makes no sense and just feels bad as Ashe who managed to hit the highly mobile target in the first place.
So the question I want to ask is do you think updating skill priorities at some point during either a preseason or midseason would be worth it? One of the big restraints would be developer time; the spaghetti code is a thing of legend, and this would be a lot of work meaning less work could be done on new more flashy things, but I do think having your hard cc stop the target flying through mid air like it is meant to, every time instead of depending on the enemy champion and circumstance, could go a long way in reducing both frustration and learning curve for new players.
