Lux ult should be a channeling
It feels strange (and buggy) when she take a displacement spell, even a thresh hook, during his ult and she can still shot her lazor. If it was a channeling at least it could be interrupted by displacements.

Channeling is generally reserved for spells that are extremely impactfull, to the point they would have no reasonable counterplay other ways, or lack other counterplay in general - i.e. Kat or Fiddle ult, or Meditate.
Lux ult is not that strong, and you technically can dodge it. It just looks weird when she is displaced, because animation is long.
Making it a channel would hit her dueling power, but in teamfight few people would even bother to break it - it would bebetter to just cc her before she ults and kill her.
