What to do as a new player?

Watching pros taught me most everything I learned as a noob (beyond my old Dota 2 beta experience). Professional matches are what I learned from, but they aren't having any at this time so you'd have to watch old matches or live Twitch streams of high elo players.

You might also want to check out the New Player Guide. Real basic info in there. Other than that, just play and ask :3

Play games, read up on stuff on the league of legends wiki, familiarize yourself with common builds for champions and where they go usually, watch streams and youtube videos. League has a really steep learning curve at all phases of the game.

Besides the new player guide what are good sources for learning things/information? Is the guide actually good? I don't even see functional/actual roles like ADC and jungler there.
