Leona or Braum

That's more of a question if you have an ADC that needs someone to block the shots or close the distance. Both are great tanks none the less but it comes down to who the ADC is and their playstyle

Both are great. Leona gives more chase, Braum does more lay in wait to catch the prey. Despite this, both can be very aggressive and be your Engage (at the risk of not having them to peel).

Leona tends to be super aggressive, wheareas Braum is quite flexible, with excellent engages and disengages.. I personally prefer Braum but there are others who'd disagree

as a support main, i love both of these. braum is good at keeping the adc alive with a little bit of cc(his q and his ulti.) leona has good cc and gap closing(her q is her stun, her e pulls her to you, and her ulti is a slow/stun depending on where the enemy is standing in it.) i just recently started playing braum myself, but i have over 250k champ points on leo, and both are very fun. mostly just depends on your play style and which you like better. hope this helps in anyway.

I prefer Leona--she is great at both engaging and peeling, thanks to the amount of CC loaded into her kit. Her ult in particular is quite good, and runs on a pretty low cooldown.

Both have their strengths.

Leona has 2 stuns, a great engage, and a nice explosive shield.

Braum has an ally proced passive freeze, a ranged Q, a good protection combo (W/E), his jump give a nice buff to allies, ult is good for disengaging/engaging/and knockup, E has good utility.

Braum E can block Mf ult, Lucian ult, Corki gat, Nami ult, etc

is more easy to play but she doesn't perform that great vs what are kinda popular this patch. Braum has the same weaknesses vs but get punished less hard for it, same counts for .

Still vs other AP supports like you will gain more rewards when playing Leona.

Both champions function differently. Leona is an Vanguard (=offensive tank). While is a Warden (=defensive tank). For peeling immobile hyper carries like you are better off with an defensive tank. While with mobile casters like those offensive tanks can help them pretty well since they already have enoue selfpeel and it's often the lockdown that prevents them to fully apply their burst.

Both Braum and Leonas kits are underwealming atm.

Counter point:

These were my main 2 supports for a long time. Leo can make more plays, and carry much harder, but gets a bit useless if she falls behind. Braum is safe and powerful, and completely trounces certain enemy ults.

I think in lane Leo has the best level 2 or level 3 all-in, as long as your adc knows what you're about to do. If you think you might have a 5v5 (or 4v4 or 3v3) level 1 fight, Braum's probably the best pick outside of Blitz, who obviously messes team up.

Specific match-ups matter more with Leona. She eats Blitz hard, but gets taken out by good Morgana & Nami players. Braum just does fairly decently against anyone.
