Thank you, @Shrieve ! (Topic about Zac)
So there were some updates posted to the PBE that updated Zac's Q (his damage scales with % HP) and also gave him his old E back when channeled, which is 80%+ of the time. It also slightly nerf'd his R, but that's trashy anyway so it's negligible.
The main thing I wanted to say "Thank you" for is that he actually has some of his damage back. I did some math earlier, and with the old Zac early game with 5 points in his Q, 1 point in his W, 2 points in his E, and one point in his R (and a Cinderhulk) he does: 750 damage with all R hits to a single target. The new Zac, with his HP scaling on his Q, the same skill point distribution, and only one hit from his R (of course) does 602 damage. So his early game suffers, but his late game looks a lot better. With a build still consisting only of Cinderhulk, his late game looks like this: Single Bounce Old Ult: 990 Single Use New Ult: 1071 I did "Single Bounce" on the Old Ultimate because late-game I generally only bounced on a target, MAYBE twice if the teamfight was already started and I could hard-focus a target, but I did full bounces early game because it's a lot more likely that a duel with an enemy jungler will show up.
So in short, his early game is still clearly worse but his late game is MUCH better. Considering that's where his Ult shines (when he has teammates to back him up and give him the pressure he needs to use his ultimate effectively) this is a fair trade in my opinion. I still like the old kit because it gave him more sustainability and reliability, but at least the new kit is giving him more damage more consistently. If fights are shorter (because of the higher damage output), then the sustain isn't as much of an issue. Especially having the double Q blobs will give him much needed sustain outside of fights when he's waveclearing or jungle clearing, so that will make him more healthy during the course of the game because when he jungles one camp he'll get four blobs instead of three blobs.
These upcoming changes are going to help a lot, so THANK YOU from a Zac main! Extremely happy to see these changes going through!
(I know most Pros max E first and not Q, but that's not me. I have always maxed Q first for higher DPS so these changes impact me a lot - THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!)
