Im sorta venting and you will probably find many errors in my comments but yeah... All the diversity i have been seeing in games recently is 9 AD champions and like 1 AP (the one lux or some other ap support), and then MR is so cheap to buy and AP is so expensive that you build a hexdrinker and just win against almost any mage that doesnt build enough magic pen to get through your free 50 MR and the base MR and then AP items just sorta are like "you dont die for 3 seconds" and you get more AP that they will probably counter if you dont get a void staff, and even if you do they can build a visage, mercurial, banshee's or just get a massive shield from maw of malmortius
