How does Annie's kit even make sense? How is it even fair to any other champion in this game?

Taking a look at each of her spells.

P: Why does the stun never disappear till you use it? It's like having a perma TF gold card, it's like having perma Ryze passive stacks. It's not like Malz's passive which summons a worthless voidling, it's a freaking game changing passive and its duration is illimited. This is dumb and I'm just getting started with her kit here.

Q: Ok. You can't dodge this and it has a big range. She hits you + jungler nearby = free kill. So what? Let's just call this her strong point... too bad let alone the upcoming other strengths in her kit, this isn't even the end of her spell yet. Why, oh why, does it refund mana on kill and even worse the cd is down to 2sec? It's like saying: When you play Annie, you already have strong spells that could nuke your opponents so instead of building a Morel for manaregen and cdr just go for that sweet Luden and make your opponent suffer even more and quickly, gotta get that sweet kill before your stun is even over for maximum counterplay! Again, what the hell? Why should I build a morel/athene just to stay in lane? When she never runs out of mana.

W: Ok. This is her form of waveclear and AoE stun pre6. It's alright because you can dodge it and the damage is high enough for it to be an efficient spell when it hits. Again, if she has this and her high AA range to cs then why does she get mana and cd refunds on her Q?

E: Oh baby. A lot of people always disregard this strong spell and focus on her damage when talking about how strong her kit is. Cd 10sec & lasts for 5sec = you can have it on you every 5sec. But wait, if you keep spamming it then it'll badly affect your performance right? It must have a drawback right? No. It has absolutely no negative effect on your gameplay. It has no effect on her passive = stun will still be up. It costs... 20mana. Since she has +12 manaregen/10sec at level 1 and +40 manaregen/10sec at level 18, you can see just how unaffected she is by this. She can spam it everytime it's off cd without any worries. And now let's look at its effect: It deals damage when you are hit and gives you +10 to 50 Arm/MR. This is straight bullshit. Every 5sec, she has increased defenses which allows her to build even more offensively, awesome! Never take MR blues like most APs, go for AP+ and wreck everyone while being as tanky as them! The best buff spell you could ever wish for.

R: Yeah. This is the best spell of all. When I see her previous spells I'm like, she doesn't need more strengths her kit is already op but it gets worse, a lot worse. First, why does Mister Tibbers appear out of nowhere without channeling? Even in the Cinematic, Riot put a channeling to her ability because it doesn't make sense for a huge bear to appear instantly out of nowhere especially when she has the freaking bear on her. She's supposed to throw it and it should transform, that's what we call logic or making sense. Ok... any reason she still carries it when she pressed R? Does Annie have an unlimited amout of Tibbers? Because I swear, I wouldn't be surprised in the least if her broken kit would get even more broken. So could we at least know when her ulti is available or not by removing the bear from her when it isn't? This is also called l_ogic or making sense_. Now then, any special reason it stays up for... 45secs? Is that supposed to be a joke or is this just the perfect example of an outdated ability? So besides the huge burst and stun, she even gets utility from it? A 3k hp pet to siege turrets with and zone people? Well isn't this just an amazing, fair and full of counterplay ability right? This ability is simply outdated and absurd.

I really can't believe Riot did nothing about her kit and never even responded to the numerous numerous and numerous threads about how outdated and unfair her kit is. She teaches Syndra about burst. She blows up Leblanc before she even gets to her. She makes Morgana's shield seem like it's AD. Last one is funny because Morgana in the past was always a counter to Annie, now she's one of the champions with the lowest winrates against her (sololane). Why is that? Morgana got nerfed yes, but Annie received tremendous buffs she didn't need: mana and cd refunds on Q, increased AP ratios, E shield on her ulti.

So in the end: How to make Annie fair? At least one of the following should be done: >Make her stun limited by time like nearly every champion with a gamechanging ability in this game.

>Remove the recently added complete mana refund on Q to make her laning phase... a laning phase, and the cd refund that makes her Q have 2sec cd. It's already a strong spell that can't be dodged, no need to make it even more unfair. It's also unfair how you have to build manaregen/cdr items (morel/athene) on most mages while she can just go 5 full AP items.

>Rework her ulti. Something was done instantly about Veigar's E, so why is an even worse spell getting ignored? Instant burst and stun that combined with just her Q means getting 100-0'd. It even stays up for 45secs for sieging and zoning. Might as well give it a AoE AP scaling heal when it dies, seriously.

>Increase her E's cd or lower the resistances. Is she supposed to be a tank that can burst you or something? That makes juggernauts look balanced. I cry when I think of what happened to spells like Akali's W while she's getting completely ignored.

Um, a few things. Her W is not her waveclear, it's her Q. That's why she has mana refunded. Look at every Annie player. They farm with Q and almost never with W until late game where it does damage enough to clear big waves. Also, it only refunds if you last hit. Early game that can be tricky. Just like Diana and her ult, it's a risk or reward. You last hit, you get the mana back, if you don't, you lose it. That's how Diana's ult works with her Q. If she hits her Q, she gets a reset on her ult. If she misses, it goes on CD.

Her E is nothing to cry about. Personally, it doesn't do much damage, and even with the stats it gives, it's not that great of a spell.

Annie's ult is fine. She has to place it where she wants it, and some people can miss that. I think putting a time on it will mess her up even more. Even after he comes up, so what if he stays around for how many seconds? He doesn't do as much damage after he originally lands, and he's slow to boot. Just outrun him for pete sake, you should have boots, very easy to get away.

Also, Riot doesn't touch Annie because she is in a good balanced spot right now. Any changes will make drastically change her and make her unviable. She's a mage. Mages are slow and have CC, but have high damage to make up for what they lack in speed. Annie is one of those. She is also very short ranged. That makes her counterable. It's also easy just to click her, and see how many stacks she has. If she has 2-3, stay away. If only 1-2, then go in and poke. Good Lord.

Stop QQing about a champion that is in a good spot and go cry about someone else that actually needs nerfs, like Yasuo or someone. The more you cry about her the more Riot might listen, and if they change something, the outcome will not be good, and everyone will hate you for asking Riot to change her in the first place.

So just stop.

People are bitching about he range on Annie and Xerath is just sitting here dancing under his tier 2 turret while he shoots you with his Q

P: If active her next spell will stun and she'll need atleast 5 secs to restore it --> early: can't have it up and farm effectivly at same time, late: if enemies have shield like item 3102 you need to have stacks at 3 and hit 2 abilities to hit stun --> more counterplay.

Q: Range abnormal small for caster (625 < ~+800) just stay out of range if stun is up, annie has 0 close ups apart from flash.

W: Same as Q

E: okay it provides good defensives and some counterplay vs AS Champion, but majorily used for passiv timing, if annie is caught without spells or stun she's pretty dead anyway.

R: only bigger range ability (still small with 600+radius) nice damage ofc + Tibbers can be nearly as mean as Heimers big cannon (just without the damage)

To be honest I suck with Annie; always when I try to get in cast range I get kited/deleted. Only with flash I can do some plays every 5 minutes but if my targets survives/ my team does not follow up quick enough I'm dead again.
