why are people banning Darius?

he has to be by far the weakest of the juggernaut. His damage is good but he is literally the easy to kite being he has no movement steroid in his kit at all.

skarner on the other hand just gets out of control and extremely hard to kite. fiora is oppressive and i understand why she is a constant ban.. but over all i see she is just #2 compared to Darius. Morde.. he is still getting banned for some reason.. same issue as Darius .. easily kited.. but after the nerf it toned him down pretty much from what i can tell. GP and Rengar are even up on the ban list in soloQ..

i play the zyra ... she doesnt move that fast but when itemized correctly she can handle the immobility of some of these problems so i probably dont see the same issues others see.

but why on earth is Darius still at the top of the list for this current patch of ban champ ... 5.18?

Because he is incredibly toxic to lane against and removes the fun from the game. All of his shit goes through minions and every single ability he has felt like it was designed from the ground up to make his opponent's life miserable.

His main counterplay is "Don't go near him, and if he gets near you run away".

I like how a lot of players here are in denial about darius, "no hes fine" "why would I ban him?" "hes so weak", his mobility problem is easily negateable with deadmans plate, thats pretty much it. his only weakness is solved by 1 item. he has the damage and now he has move mobility than most champions, so he can apply it on anyone. "oh you flashed away? nope get back here!"

Because people are bad and don't understand that "Just kill him" is the answer here.

They'd rather ban than understand, which is really sad. There are much better bans out there right now considering how god-awful Darius lane phase is.

I dont know man, honestly.. no clue. I can see why Fiora is ban worthy, kind of.. Garen strong but not ban worthy.. and Skarner is ban worthy.

His weakness is mobility, but he has avenues of completely negating that even before the rework, its just people never noticed, and its extremely easily I might add too. I've won every game as a jungler with a Darius on my team, simply because I camp his lane to get him snowballing, then I first buy righteous glory after jungler item and he has literally no problems with getting in range.

The other three teammates can all go combined 0/30 and we will still win, there is no other champion that is in a healthy state that can do that. Period. Some people poke fun with it by describing him as becomes a Destiny Raid boss, but that's pretty much accurate.

Part of his problem pre-rework was that he was all damage with no means of outputting it, and people held to that. But when the introduction of righteous glory and deadman plate came up, people still didn't notice.

Then the juggernaut update came out, and people realized, he actually DOES have means of getting the damage out. He's still all damage, but now he's tanky...and now he has a freaking gargantuan heal on top of it, yes people say its situational and you need to be in the thick of a team fight to do it...but that's where Darius wants to be!

And with the items available, he's just as mobile as the next person.

It's not that I don't mind fighting him during the laning phase, it's that he builds Dead Man's Plate and can single-handedly win teamfights with it. He waits for the team tank to initiate and then uses his momentum on the lowest hp target, then dunks them. He can then get all 5 stacks on every single one of your teammates. It's annoying as ****.

Also, I hate to blow resources on Darius rather than on focusing on the enemy carry. Like, if I'm going to use my stun, do I stun the enemy ADC who's doing a crap ton of damage, or do I stun Darius, who is about to dunk my midlaner and get off all the stacks onto my team. He's just too annoying to deal with.

Oh, and not to mention that if you do blow your resources on Darius, he'll still find the stupid person on your team and heal off of them.
