Matchmaking this preseason

Has anyone been having lots of problems with the matchmaking lately? Not just in flex queue but also in normals. I've had games where people that are unranked and bronze are going against 2-3 plats. At first I just thought I was unlucky, but now this has been happening to often for it to just be bad luck. Did the matchmaking get worse?
