Help Me Understand!

Everyday I come to the boards and I see one theme on the hot page, and new posts about it constantly. So please help me understand it.

"We need a ward spot!" This argument that late game not having a pink ward on every champion is ruining the game. I just can't comprehend it.

I understand that the trinkets the last few seasons let this happen. People could upgrade to pink trinkets when needed.

But without these pink trinkets now everyone is thinking these invisible champions are running amok. They are destroying games. Taking people from there homes and mentally abusing them until they go play farmville.

Riot seemed to clearly state that they wanted less vision. (My understanding is it made the game stale, less action, less big plays and out plays. You just control vision and take things for free.)

The boards seemed to agree with this in season 5 since most posts about vision was that it was too hard to regain vision control when losing. The enemy teams vision was to oppressive that you couldn't leave your base.

Now that's why I'm lost. This pink ward buff people want is better for the winning team(increases snowballing) since they allow 100% vision control of you have 5 on one side of the map. Second these invisible champions that are so out of control post 40 minutes. Who are they? Rengar with his 52% win rate post 40? Akali with her 46% win rate post 40? Evelynn with hey 52% win rate post 40? Who is making people want a drastic change to the game. Who is so broken in this meta that we have to have more vision than season 5?
