Give Barrier some utility
Maybe a knockback effect or a dodge next spell effect, maybe both.

Barrier is plenty strong as is. Anything extra they added to it would require them to take some off of the shield, the entire point of the spell
Really the only thing they could do to Barrier and potentially not break it, is maybe have it give a little tenacity while the shield is in effect.
i guess i just think it scales poorly
