Pre-Game Internet Check for in-game Stability

Hello Riot

There is a history behind players not being able to connect to games be it normal or ranked. To reduce or completely eliminate this burden to the community, I suggest you have a pre game feature to determine if the player meets the bare minimum requirements for stable game play. For example, domestic NA players have a standard internet speed connection or above to allow a stable in-game game play. The pre game feature I suggested would pre check the player's internet connection to the game server to determine whether stable game play is possible. By doing so, you reduce or eliminate games consisting of summoner's rift 4v5, 3v5 and Treeline 2v3, 1v3. The other thing to keep mind, the player would know his or her set aside time does not become a devalued expense for experience, money, and time. I have played with these different in-game configurations and lost many normal and ranked games. A stable game play would produce 5v5 and 3v3 rather than the other unstable configurations: 4v5, 3v5, and 3v2.

Riot make it happen...

Sincerely,

Personally, I just open a browser tab and launch speedtest but this does not always work... internet can be unstable

I recently installed the desktop version of Speedtest, which includes the packet loss and jitter readings the now closed service Pingtest used to.

When my jitter and packet loss were bad, I knew it was a bad idea to try to play online games in any serious manner.

Packet loss and jitter doesn't show up by default in the results after a test. Once you've done a test you've to click the button in the top-right corner (three lines) then click one of your test results, and on that window the packet loss and jitter will show up.

what would you consider "acceptable ping" to be not allowed?
