Vision Problems
#The Problems:
- The map is relatively dark late game, and yellow trinkets feel underwhelming later on.
- People (especially in low elo) don't upgrade their yellow trinkets, resulting in lameness, and lack of ward diversity
- Most junglers (in lower elos anyway) don't want to purchase the warding smite because it puts them at a disadvantage if the enemy jungler buys a combat smite. In higher elos, most just buy the warding smite, or are forced to purchase a sightstone, neither of which are optimal.
- Pink wards are irrelevant late game
#A Possible Solution: Two inventory slots, one dedicated to positive vision, and one dedicated to negative vision.
Positive Vision Options:
: Works similarly to how it works now, but after 10 minutes, no more charges will spawn, and you will have to purchase charges for 30 coins (up to 3), the charges will last 3 minutes, instead of 120 seconds. At this time, players who built a gold-income item or a smite item (supports/junglers) are able to upgrade their yellow trinkets to what would be the equivalent of a sightstone, holding 4 charges that refresh upon basing.
: Same as it is now, can replace yellow trinket at 10 minutes
Negative Vision Options:
: Purchasable for 300 coins, free upgrade at 10 minutes to moving sweeper or whatever it's called. I think the cool down on this should be increased to compensate for them being more commonly purchased.
: Slot can also hold one pink ward, pink wards can still be placed in other slots of your inventory, this just helps for later in the game.
#Clean-up Remove the warding smite, and put the purple smite back in, this will help balance the jungle out as well, so some of the weaker champions can actually clear early. Remove the support warding combination items & sightstones, they're sub-optimal, and the actives on support items are fun.
Just trying to spit out some ideas, not entirely sure if this would be a good solution, I'm sure there are some problems, but I feel like we should have more options. Let me know what you think.
