I've been playing mid ekko a lot ever since they nerfed the base damage but buffed ap ratios. His alot better in mid lane now than before (not counting release). But I'm still not sure what the right build is for him. Would mid ekko players kindly put their item build and priority?
I'm interested too. I'm trying to learn Ekko mid, but I've an abysmal winrate with him. So I must be doing something wrong, but I don't know what.
Currently, what I do is: Lost Chapter into Abyssal/Zhonya, then Guardian Angel, then situational items (Luden/Lichbane for burst/taking tower, Rylai for survivability/utility, Rabadon/Void Staff for raw damage, Liandry if they have lots of Tanks, Morello if we need Grievous Wound).
This is coming from a guy who has played ekko once but has played against alot of them.(mostly tankko) What i have noticed is that hybrid items are good for him( rageblade, gunblade). I would also try out lich bane/frozen guant. I think the protobelt would be a hilarious thing to build on him but i dont know of the viability.
It honestly depends on the match. I like picking up Rod of Ages
because of the sheer number of stats it has. It also allows me to be a bit more durable for extended fights. I try to max CDR early (which is really easy since the Mage Items update). Against an AP match up, I tend to rush Abyssal Scepter
. This item suits Ekko really well. AP, MR, CDR, and MR reduction on enemies-it all compliments his kit. A sheen 
item is also really nice because it procs on/stacks with his E: Phase Dive. After that, I would say that itemization is dependent on the situation. I prefer to play AP/CDR because I like to skirmish and be in and out of fights.
