Support warding question

In the 5.3 PBE cycle, yellow trinket upgrade was changed to store a charge ever 60 seconds, up to 2 total. Will it be worth to upgrade this, skip a Sightstone, and buy something that synergizes better with my champion? (I'm thinking primarily mage supports but will take thoughts on all kinds.)

No it's not worth because the red trinket (and if you have enemies like Akali, the upgraded red trinket) is very valuable and as a support you always want to make sure you get one along with your sightstone.

You usually get your Sightstone on your first back, around the 8 min mark. It's not possible to upgrade your trinket until level 9, for supports that's well past the 15 min mark.

This will probably be more to take the burden of warding off of the support as mid/top will usually be able to upgrade to this for more vision late game, you will still want to get sightstone.

As a support, no. Once you get sightstone your warding totem is literally useless. But for other classes, yes. That way even a carry can help out with wards.

This sounds awesome. Now your whole team can get these upgraded yellow trinkets so you have tons of vision without anyone needing to buy a sightstone. Does it still have the new low cost that it does now? I would really like it if my team would help in the vision battle a good bit more.
