Emotes as slash commands /hypekitty

I've got more emotes I want to use than can fit on my emote wheel, so I was thinking of how I might be able to use more in an individual match. I've seen the suggestion to have a random emote option, or saving multiple emote sets you can select from in champ select. This brought me to the following idea I'd like to propose;

Emotes as slash commands. In other words, you type forward slash / followed by the name of the emote, and hit Enter to use that emote from your collection!

The problem with this post is it assumes the team coding the game/client has the ability to do this.

This might encourage sales and rp purchases. Riot will be all over this.

this would be nice actually, and or a menu to open up all your emotes under your map or somewhere it doesn't cover and you can click the one you want to use, either way this idea is actually pretty neat

If they did something like this it would almost certainly be of the form "/emote hypekitty" rather than having a different command for each emote. Using emotes with a slash command is very common in MMOs - some don't even have a graphical way to choose an emote.

That said, I think the system would break down if people realized that you could insert the word "all" into a command and express an emotion in that manner. For example, "/all hypekitty". Or even just "/all HYPE!". You know... using normal language. Sequestering emotes in a special wheel makes them feel like an actually different method of communication and thus desirable, even though all you get is a picture, with a slight animation for a couple emotes.
