Some thoughts about Kayn

First of all, I just played him a couple times, definitely not enough to understand the champion completely, so take what I say with more than a grain of salt. Once people learn to play both of his forms, maybe it'll turn out that he'll need just some number tweaks. What I'm writing is based more on impression I had when playing him. But I'm still making this thread... because.

Base Kayn As pretty much everyone is saying, he's pretty weak. But I'm fine with that, because it encourages you to transform as soon as possible. And you don't need to actually get kills anyway, just get into a fight when you feel that it won't be the worst idea ever. Also kinda builds into the team of a young guy wanting to prove himself, and fighting recklessly against stronger opponents (edgy I know)

Red Kayn, aka Rhaast Considering he's supposed to be a bruiser, he's got good sustain damage, very good survivability, crazy mobility. He's supposed to be stronger vs tanks, but with a triforce he can fight pretty much everything. Also some ok utility with his W.

Blue Kayn, aka Edgyo Auditore da Ionia (sorry, best I could come up with) Considering he's supposed to be an assassin, his burst isn't insane, although you can kill squishies quite fast if you're ahead; still less strong than zed, talon, kha'zix. His mobility is good, but if you use E before engaging, then you have no escape. It's not like you can spam Q often enough to escape a fight, and I thought that having some escape tools was a core feature of assassins. He lacks sustain in fight and has little to no utility, which is ok for an assassin.

The R in particular I find to be generally better in red form than in blue. Red form has a good amount of everything, but in particular has maybe too much mobility, since it's not an assassin. Blue form needs a more reliable way out of fights, and maybe a slightly stronger burst. To give him utility I don't think would fit the lore, since Kayn wants to be a stronger Zed, not an ad Ekko.

Triforce seems to be a really good option in both forms, tons of damage. Lastly, red and blue forms feel pretty distinct, in terms of visuals and voiceover. In terms of gameplay though, It kinda feels like they could be a little more distinct from one another. But it's still a pretty solid concept as is.

Again, all this is a sort of first impression, not really a in depth reasoning of someone with a lot of games on Kayn. I'm definitely having playing him, more with red form than blue, but that's just me. Please tell me your thoughts about the champion.
