The History of Bloodrazers(Feral Flare/Devourer).

I'm going to start off with the point of this thread first, Bloodrazers shouldn't even exist. It is just a band-aid solution to a few junglers.

Feral flare was the first time an item like this existed(I started in mid season 3 so I'm just going to ignore the original bloodrazer.) It was a super frustrating time of the game when that item was released. It made almost any champion that built it completely broken and could out duel anyone that did not have feral flare. I don't know why this item was released and i'm guessing it was supposed to help out of flavor/competitively unviable junglers like warwick show up in the LCS. I don't recall warwick ever appearing in the LCS so It was a failure I guess?

Next comes devourer and starts with 40 stacks. It wasn't that problematic on its own but red smite put it over the top. Warwick and red smite completely ruined this item allowing him to smite someone, ult them, and do 300 true damage 300 magic damage and 300 physical damage with his ult at level 6 (rough estimate). The next patch they made red smite do DOT instead of on-hit and then gutted warwick's w and nerfed his r while also nerfing devourer. Warwick still hasn't seen any major touches since preseason 5.

Next comes the sated devourer. It honestly just made solo queue worse while not even touching the pro scene (it touched the pro scene once). It pretty much took both junglers out of the game until they got sated. This encouraged junglers that farmed really fast to buy it.

I think Shyvana deserves her own section because i'm about to rant about her. _"In light of her recent exit from popularity, Shyvana's a character that's been left without a clear identity. Is she a human? Is she a dragon? Is she viable? Leaning on her original jungling roots, we've decided to boost Shyv's clearing speeds so that she can be one of the faster farmers out there, opening her up to make cooler decisions than just shoving in top-laners and living forever." _ Why would you want her identity to be a jungler that's core identity is to FARM FAST?!?! Literally what else does she do? She can hardly gank, her teamfighting is eh because her ult is gimmicky because of its unreliability. I think almost everyone would rather her be a decent top laner than a jungler that farms fast. If she needs a 20% damage increase on her w (specifically to monsters) just to farm faster than she already did because she farmed the jungle fast before that, you are literally pinpointing her to do something and that is to FARM FAST?!?! The reason she became unviable was because top lane ryze which was her hardest counter became the staple of season 4 top laners. All you had to do was nerf ryze and give her more magic resist. Nah lets make her farm fast. Lets make her farm fast and then give her a jungle item that rewards her for farming fast and then allows her to be tanky and blow people up. She is now a completely unreliable top laner and a super mediocre jungler because the item she relied on is gone and she is still sitting on nerfs because of an item that doesnt exist anymore.

Riot, you made the item to make a few champions viable. If their power is based on their synergy with that item so much that they have to be gutted because of the item, the problem is in their kit. Remember in season 3 and 4 when the jungle items were just an AD item, an AP item, and a tank item? Warwick and Yi were just fine. Yi used the AD item and Warwick used the tank item. It would probably be more healthy for the jungle to go back to the 3 item trio, NOT WITH THE CURRENT TRIO YOU ALREADY HAVE BECAUSE THEY ARE SUPER UNBALANCED.

Quick thought about trio items. Warrior is the most balanced item of all the jungle items. Runic echos is broken. Cinderhulk is too weak (funfact cinderhulk got nerfed because of devourer junglers dominating the meta). They need to aim to buff cinderhulk and nerf echos. one of the main problem with echo is the clear speed and free mana to specific junglers (elise, nidalee). The idea of runic echos was to give back SOME of the mana you spent clearing your camp as a mage. Nidalee and elise are abusing it in their meele form getting free mana. My opinion is completely remove giving mana back and have a patch lowering the mana costs of some mage junglers or increase mana regen in the jungle. Cinderhulk either needs a higher base health, the bonus % health increased, and it NEEDS more burn damage regaurdless.
