Question about the banning system in game.

Honestly when I started playing league I barely understood how to do anything in game. Now I don't play a lot so I am not that experienced or good at this game at all. But between a few friends of mine and myself I found a discrepancy. There were days I was really bad so I got told off and people swore me out in games because I'm no good at this game. I play it for fun so I frankly don't put 100 hours into it to get better. My friend who is amazing at the game gets a ban for potentially botting. He is a good player in the game and used to love to play this game because of it. If we get reported because we're inexperienced and reported when we are good... Where is the balance?
