Little Purple Minions?
Just came back after a 1 year hiatus. Can someone explain to me what the extra little purple minions are and that spawner they come from in Summoner's Rift!? Is it an item to buy???

you mean the ZZ'rot portal?
Basicaly it's an item on a long active cooldown, what it does is that if you place it down anywhere on the Rift, little void minions will pop out, try to get to the nearest lane from the item's location and try to push the lane by killing minions or going kamikaze on towers.
Every 4th? void minion is a big one that does extra damage. Killing them does not give gold, but the portal does. Also they die after a while, even if not hit once.
Basicaly if you want to split push but not risk being killed in the process, you can place a portal down and make sure the enemy doesn't try to find it.
