What is the point of role pick now that riot made autofil feature pernament

You might remember the dark times before role select, when it was basically MID OR FEED, I SAID MID FIRST FKU, and etc. Well thanks to riot autofill, its back. Last 5 ranked games, almost NO ONE had the picks they selected, which caused the forgoten phrase "Mid or Feed" to be revived. What is even the point of role select if riot just autofills you. Its to speed up lobbys, jeez. I rather wait 7 - 20 minutes for a game if it means im 100% getting my jungle or top then wait 3 minutes and get fkin adc or support that i cant play. Riot, remove autofil, or remove Role Select as a whole and just let people scream FIRST and MID OR FEED at each other again. Role select is pointless now that the autofil is pernament. And for those saying its not perma, it is. Since season 7 started it hasnt been off. EUNE, EUW, OCE, always on, every ranked game, no exeptions. EVEN in promos now, promos used to secure you the position you want, not anymore. Got support and ADC in my promos both game i lost lane thanks to that.... 2013 LIVES AGAIN

Edit: I mean, im not saying i never get my role anymore, but i tought this feature will forever kill the Mid or Feed phenomen. Im just really sad to see it comming back to life. I mean, come on guys, would you rather wait 5minutes more for a game, or rather find game quickly but face the high chance of having a MID OR FEED argue in the lobby?
