Any change to get a battle mage rune?
Everytime that I played battle mage (eg lissandra/karthus/vladimir/swain...) I never found a good rune that fell me stay in combact... Phase rush is good as a kiting rune but I would see a tanky option that reward to stay into the middle of the fight rather than a ms boost for kiting/chasing. I wish a rune that sound like grasp/conqueror on mage that reward the fact that I overstay in combact. Here's my idea: Health's bubble. After 3s in combact with champion the next magic damage ability will heal yourself for the health bubble stack. The bubble is filled with 5-15% enemy damage inflicted between the bubble charging. After 3s the bubble is filled by a max of 30-60(+25 for 100 ap and +8 for every 150 bonus hp). The bubble will be up only for 1,75 s before it last. (Probably vlad would get a nerf because of that rune but at least other mage that like to stay into battle fell better). The reason why I chose 3s instead of 4 it's because the fact that 4s fell too much channeling only on champion while 3s allow the fact that the rune can be trigger multiple time. If other class will abuse it EG maokai it could be changed around 3-5% enemy dmg (+X% every 100 ap) or lowering the heal from bonus hp upping the bonus heal. This rune is good on rumble too. It should't scale Ad because ad option are too overloaded. Maybe it feel like a Juggernaut rune but battle mage are too similar as juggernaut in team fight (we can say that they're their ap part). I tough about a spell dmg version but it will fell too strong or too bad in some circustance (eg cassiopeia has a low E cd with will fell too strong at stacking the bubble while lissandra took 2 s to trigger a spell and this would need to up the rune duration to 4-5s). Also if you would play a dot mage you will see some strange iteraction (Eg dot spell is casted after 2,5 s that it's triggered which leave only 0,5 s to do that). I found a Enemy iteraction sound good for a good amount of class and allow other champ to try different playstyle with high risk (stay in combact). Like last season and like this battle mage has never been played as really mage fighter (mostly because their runes doesn't do their job) and they rely too much on poke/burst rather than stay in combact.
