quality of games in bronze/silver elo

hey everyone, I ended season 8 in plat 2 before i decided to create a smurf account for season 9. I just wanna say that I feel REALLY bad for people who are in this elo and are trying to get better at the game, who keep their cool and usually play well in games. I was kind of ashamed of having difficulty climbing until I asked a couple of friends that are in diamond/plat and they all told me that yeah, bronze silver is a nightmare to go through. the recurring afk, the lack of communication except to flame each other, the quetionnable plays that always end up in failing then flaming everyone else. man it's a nightmare to go through. I usually am a pretty non toxic guy in my games, I always try to find a way to come back in the game, but my time in this elo is slowly dragging out the worst in me. the level of arrogance and spite is ludicrously high, I am surprised people who are in this elo haven't just quit the game, it's that bad to go through

anyways, everyone who are going through this, dont' worry, it's not just you. this elo REALLY is shit. but dont' worry, it gets better the higher you climb

Yeah it's really a crapshoot. You get people who just don't give a shit at all and think they know what's best to win the game. Everyone has this "Bronze" knowledge thing going on where they'll tell each other "Oh your build is wrong" or "That doesn't work" and then blame someone else when they feed their ass off and lose the game. No accountability whatsoever.

Sometimes I get frustrated cause you have to carry these people and honestly they do nothing to deserve to win the game. They talk shit to their teammates and the other team the whole game and then keep feeding like they're a master chef. You can definitely climb out of this elo but you either have to be much better than your opposition or get lucky with decent teammates.

And now you tell them "it isn't just you it's the shit Elo" And everyone down there feels confirmed: "I knew it! It's not me! It's my shitty teammates! I am the one who deserves Plat at LEAST!" And what will they do? They won't look at themselves and try to improve but they will blame the others. Because "it's the shitty elohell which is stopping them from climbing!"

Hey, add me. I made this account to get out of bronze, but... got Iron instead.

I'd love to learn how to git gud from a level headed high elo friend.

I'm not toxic, but I am a M7 spammer.

4 years bronze, now Iron(almost out)

Bronze/silver is where the bad behavior players go, and someone who is working their way up from bronze is grouped with players who behave poorly just because they started bronze.

Maybe the starting league should be something different, like in the middle, instead of the lowest league. This will allow players who consistently behave poorly or refuse to play as a team to be placed into the same league as eachother, without forcing players who just happen to be starting out ranked to play with the poorly behaved players.

New players could have a starter league for their provision games. After the provision games are over, if they haven't afked or been reported notoriously, then they can go to a league above the badly behaved league. Players who afk in games and constantly have a bad attitude, resulting in lots of reports, should drop to the poorly behaved league no matter how good they play.

as s1 who smurfed in low elo before (while being low plat) i can say its pretty easy to end your lanephase 20/0. but meanwhile the enemys have 50 kills in total and like 5 deaths. this elo is indeed a nightmare. and i dont wanna say "yeah your teammates keep you down" but as some youtube videos showed, the ppl that really try to improve are doing fairly decent vs higher elo people

Pick an assassin and kill them until they die. Take all your teams farm and turrets. That’s is the high elo way to win that elo IMO but hey I’m bronze now too. Working for me though I will say even in silver you can pick something like karthus mid even though it’s trash but the global ult alone will win you a low elo game because they actually don’t have brains or any ability to predict how a fight should/will go. I’d imagine a diamond+ soraka could win off the global ult alone as well if you just go full cdr and ap

My specialty is invading the enemy jungler over and over from mid lane until they just stop playing because mid will never ping and when they do the jungler still won’t account for it mentally. God help them if I know their jungle path inside and out because outplaying someone mechanically in this elo isn’t even satisfying with how simple they seem to be

I got put into bronze 3, no biggie I thought. I'll just climb out of this as I usually do in about a day or two.

Boy was I wrong.

If it looks like Blind Pick If it feels like Blind Pick If it says Solo/Duo Ranked It must be Blind Pick

Plat is still worse in my opinion because you will often get people who think they know everything, but are really feeding and making a bunch of poor decisions. And since the enemy players are plat and at least half decent mechanically, it becomes pretty toxic to beat them once they get some gold under their belt.

You average 3.9 cs per min on your main, with an overall wr of 47% in bronze, I'm pretty cynical about this post. You are not a plat level player. No plat player gets 2.3 cs per min a game unless they literally rage quit. I've smurfed a lot to play with friends, it is not that hard to win 90%+ of games in bronze even on an offrole (I am a mid/supp main, but could carry in bronze as ADC Top or Jungle easily)

It really shows when you say it gets better when you climb. No, it doesn't. Everyone has inflated ego starting in plat and although I haven't played with anyone higher than dia 3, the lower ranks of diamond are also super toxic. I've never seen "hardstuck" thrown around this much. I don't even understand the point of this post, it is just full of plastic superiority. Go back to grinding Bronze 1 games mate.

In DOTA2 it's called "The Trenche" and even some of their pro players can't carry out of it.

I've never climbed higher then Silver 1 so it's all I know. :P

Silver elo player here. Is it true plat+ people don't really use chat other than to actually talk about in game strategies? (Sounds kinda dull, I'm the annoying punny person in chat most of the time)

Yeah I'm going to need you to link your plat account my friend.

I can climb through bronze-silver with one hand and a toaster, and I'm consistently plat 4-3 elo. If you were really plat elo you'd know that it's much more toxic than silver ever could be.

On top of this, you said you created a smurf account for season 9, whereas this account you're posting on is from season 4.

This post is a load of bs, I disagree that bronze/silver is hard to climb out of. I had a bronze smurf and literally these games were so hard to lose unless I afk farmed (It was so hard to demote divisions in bronze). If you can't get out of bronze then you are just bad. I can never imagine anyone who was trying to improve would be stuck here. You have no excuses about being hardstuck bronze and unable to climb. Also unless you link your main, I hardly DOUBT that you are plat at all. One more thing, every time I try to coach a bronze/iron person they refuse to listen to anything I say and I just give up trying. They argue with me about their wrong builds and then complain that they are just unlucky with bad teammates. Get rid of that stupid ass ego and admit that you are wrong, that's the easiest way to get out of bronze. Also one more thing, I NEVER was bronze and when I first started playing here, it seemed like everyone here was a bot or something (Yes, that's how bad people are here).

I was silver 2 seasons ago, but last season i just played normal games to get better, now i decided to take a try at rank again.... and i went 6/4 in placements and went to iron. In my placements games and now that I'm trying to climb, i just can say this elo is just really hard to climb.... not because it's difficult to play against, but because you can be 90% of the games super good but there are always 2/3 players just losing hard ... like 1/10 at 20 minutes. And even the games you try to compensate the bad and help, they still don't want to hear you, and want to 1 vs 5.... And i know that even if i loose 3 games maybe by winning 1 game i can climb, but it's really demotivated to play like this.... and takes all the pleasure in playing. I don't know what the solution to this is.... but like this I don't think ranked is worth.

well season 8 was my first season i made it to gold. And now i am silver and i am going thru this i can not seem to be able to finish a game i always go rage quit and i am now wondering either if i should get someone to boost my account into gold plat or if i simply quit the game.
