Finally Season Changes I Can Enjoy

After extensive looks at the spells for Maokai, Zac, and Sejuani's kit updates to understand how they properly work, I'm excited. Maokai : Because his ult is no longer free AOE damage reduction, the rest of his kit can finally get some love. His passive can go off several times in teamfights and his saplings are funny. Zac : Looks super fun and can't wait to use my main man again because of these changes. Being able to slam people together looks fun and kidnapping carries with a Ryze Ult like ability seems entertaining to do and will separate the good Zacs from the free rotation ones. He got boring, not gonna lie. Sejuani : Finally looks like she will be at least somewhat viable, but her success is the most questionable out of the 3. This mainly revolves around the cooldown of her E to use the frost stacks. Her passive seems pretty nice though with the extra stats and slow reduction (currently it looks like the Frost Armor lasts around 2.5 seconds after taking damage).

The changes to support items seem fair and the new tank items will probably be busted on release.

Rift Herald might finally be worth taking due to her pushing power.

The changes to death visuals, putting the CC name above the HP bar, and the outlines around active items all look acceptable. In addition a number of Summoner Spells now give extra visual effects to help us tell who used what in fights (not all spells, so you can't track people that flash to know where they went).

Compared to the previous few seasonal updates, I'd call this one an 8/10 based on looks. It seems more promising than last year's MYMU and Pre-Season 7 updates.

Good job Riot.
