Teemo and Shaco are completely countered in ARAM by a 300 gold item...

Just got Teemo in an ARAM, and I was literally useless, because the enemy team kept buying oracles elixer, I couldn't play the game because they had 300 gold. Is that supposed to be the case orrr? At least put a cooldown on the item so that they can't use it again for 5 minutes or something. At least then they'd have to co-ordinate it a little bit.

No it just means that you can't keep the entire map completely covered in aoe nukes with no counterplay. Teemo is still one of arams best performing champions. You just have to be smarter with your shrooms.

Traps don't get disabled from it though and just seeing them doesn't automatically mean they are useless. If placed quickly enough they won't get to kill them. If they sit on the edge of a bush they can't just walk into it, even if they know it's there etc.

I did do that, I got 3 kills from it in a 25 minute game. 3 ranged champions, Kayle and Jayce, they didn't even get near the shrooms. I was even using the shroom as bait just to get to Q them once... If you get Shaco and Teemo in the same team and they all have oracles and a ranged champion or two it's basically an automatically lost game. This isn't the first time I've thought about posting this here.

Edit: There wasn't a Shaco in the team, just talking about previous experiences.

You should be adjusting how you use your shrooms depending which champs buy oracles, how they use it, and how often they buy it. Try throwing your shrooms in the middle of minions or in the thick of a teamfight instead. If/when they stop buying oracles you can get back to trapping. You have to mind game it instead of expecting everyone to die to shrooms for free.

Shaco's boxes are still tricky to deal with even with oracles. Melee champs can't even touch them and bushes can be completely forfeit if you don't have a pet champ to take the hit.

You need to either go attackspeed or keep 3 shroom stacks to use incombat. You need to throw them on creeps so they don't have the chance to kill them. But, I do think oracle's should expire on deaths like it used to. It gives some counterplay to the oracle's. Right now it has no counterplay.

So I can put the shrooms in the minion wave, like I did, and then what more can I do? Their team being 3/5 ranged champions (depending on points in the game), at least 2 of them having oracles at almost all times. If they saw a shroom they cleared it, they had push over us so I couldn't exactly stop them. Tell me what I could have done better that I didn't already do.

My point exactly, cooldown or expire on death is not OP, in my opinion anyway. I hardly even play Teemo, it just feels really bad the way it is.
