Here are some tips as a former ADC main:
- Go for safe picks like Ezreal who can fight from a distance and escape sticky situations. If you still want to go a bit aggressive, you can pick Caitlyn.
- If the enemy team has an assassin or 2, ALWAYS, and I mean ALWAYS, keep an eye on the mini map. If they're MIA, they'll most likely target bot (specifically you as the ADC)
- As an ADC, your job is not to let an assassin or diver get close to you in teamfights. It's your team's job to peel for you or to at least stop an assassin or diver from going in on you.
- Always brace yourselves or back away when the enemy team wants a 4 or 5 man bot dive. This strategy is inevitable and it can happen anytime in between 10-15 mins into the game.
- Remember, assassins fall off later in the game, so take every opportunity to stall out the game by playing passive and turtling if the circumstances permits.
- Attack move. This is pretty standard on all ADC's.
- If the enemy team has something like a Malz or Zyra support, play passive throughout the laning phase. You will not out damage them in the early game as they can freely zone and kill you if you're not careful. Ask for ganks if you can.
Not all hope is lost if you're bot lane. Like what Ezreal says: "Sounds dangerous; I'm in!" If the situation at bot gets rough, play smart, stay confident and you can potentially win.
