Is this Clarity thing supposed to be some kind of joke?

When you literally have to use a 3rd party website to check actual champion statistics and abilities, Clarity seems like some kind of terribly insulting joke. Riot needs to stop perpetrating this ironic philosophy before my head explodes from all the hypocrisy.

Because you can not see champion statistics nor ability details until you are in the game, and have that level of ability. There are no tables which say, here is your attack range. There is nothing that says, here are Yorick's hps per level. There is nothing that tells you how much damage your abilities will do, whether they scale with AD or AP, at what percentage, the UI basically gives you no information. In order to get this information, you have to look at websites like MOBAfire or whatever your poison of choice is. So why would they call these relatively minor in-game changes "Clarity" when there's a gigantic mammoth in the room of not being able to log into League of Legends and stratagize over your statistics and abilities before a game? It makes somewhere right around zero sense.

Clarity means making sure people know what's going on in game intuitively. Or at least making it easier to understand. It's their keyword for making things easier to understand. I honestly don't see why you have a problem with it.

Would it be just SO HARD to put that somewhere in the game? So we don't have to first search for them with Google, then open these modern monstrous browsers that take 100s of mb of memory?

So you're saying that the fact they have abilities without numbers in the game itself is ok? I don't understand wtf you're actually trying to argue. You seem to be against Clarity. Do you like it when everything is mysterious for RP purposes or something? I'm FOR Clarity. I just wish they would be consistent with it. Why can you see the exact numbers in the game (IF you have that level of ability) but you can't see it on the champion pages? Why does it only have some nebulous bullshit about Defense / Ability Power / Attack / Difficulty? Those are actually fairly terrible indicators in many ways that have very little accuracy or impact on the game itself. Do you or do you not think that it would be advantageous to have those statistic tables in the actual game itself? Are you in love with your internet browser? Do you have a fetish for arguing with someone on the Boards?

Why not on the champion pages? Maybe another tab there. Maybe on the abilities page. Either one would be very welcome. As it is, it's nowhere to be found in League of Legends, and new players are bound to be confused, as I was a year ago.

You need a 3rd party website to see champion abilities? What?

Zlave10/12/2014, 5:53:45 PM1 votes

YES!! I wonder what these other people have against Clarity?

That's not the in-game UI. That is a website that I have to go to outside of playing League of Legends.
