Mordekaiser Was Ruined In The Juggernaut Update

I really hope that Riot is willing to do something about him. He lost his entire identity that he had before and is now just "if I get three hits off, you're dead". His W is just an incredibly lazy design and Riot already said they don't like hidden power in passives. His E is just meh, before it was good but now his entire kit revolves around his Q. Morde used to be a go-to champion for me whenever I didn't know who to pick. What happened to that?
