Decision making in this game is in a really weird spot

Anyone notice insanely awkward decision making in the low gold - low plat elo? I'm currently G1 and I have to say the decisions people make are... questionable. I really don't mind my team making insanely stupid decisions, but I get put into a supporting role quite often by the enemy team's questionable decisions. I'm left to rely on my team to carry game's a lot due to one sole purpose:

The enemy team groups on me every single time regardless of the situation unfolding. I literally have 3-4 people come to me, regardless of the lane I'm in and the amount of pressure my team is exerting, every time I'm put on the split. I don't mind dying for it. It's just really weird when one person on the enemy team is sufficient to stop my push. It puts me in an awkward situation a lot of games and I can't really wrap my head around why people do this.

I kid you not, when baron is up, I shove bot as the top (as you're suppose to do) and the enemy jg sits bot and chases me through the entire bot side map?? I've had a game where my team summons herald and hard shoves mid and the enemy team sends 4 people bot to chase me down? I guess this is just a bit of a rant. But this is so weird. Really gimps how you play this game since people don't follow proper strategies. Lol.

Anyways... am I the only one really annoyed at this group/roam and chase meta?
