Why is CS weighted more than kills or plays made

So I just played a game where I went 17/3/11. I had the most kills, less deaths, most damage(by a lot), second best vision score and We won! The only thing I did not lead in was CS. How does an Ekko who who went 6/2/9 get an S and I get an A+? Because he had the most CS?! I carried that game and I think it's a travesty that game changers get punished for being involved in too many fights. I have pictures to prove the numbers also. Anyone agree?

CS is a good indicator for game mechanics. Micro and Macro.

Your score was good but others can do the same thing but also keep a good CS score. That means they didn't waste time dancing around in the enemy jungle or playing around in areas that had zero objectives. I consider that a waste of time. Push lanes and control the map pressure then fight at objectives. Rinse repeat until a Nexus dies.

CS = Rotating efficiently.

Letting waves die to tower losing gold and experience = unefficient.

Sometimes it's better to be efficient and play the map rather than snowballing and playing a deathmatch in order to get S rankings.

the grade system weirdly counts everything and doesnt seem to find a balance. i can prove that because i once played a game as jungler where i went 0/0/0 (total kills were 47 to 38) but i got almost 500 cs. 200 more than enemy adc.

got an S.

Well early game CS'ing is quite hard Harassing enemies can make farming minions quite hard If your low and you recall you can miss a ton of CS just try to get that cannon minion when you have a adc and a leona breathing down your neck!

Because League of Legends isn't a deathmatch. It's a team based game that requires good GPM, objective control, and vision.

You're scored on what it takes to win, not your freaking KDA. Why is this such an exceedingly difficult concept for people to grasp?

How about gold per minute?
