I have played adc, though I don't main it. But standard tips for being a better adc is cs and positioning.
- The adc should always have one of, if not the highest cs in the game. Most people assume kills and lane pressure are everything (and I am not saying they aren't good, but cs matters a lot!), though cs is a way to get a lot more gold than people at lower ranks think. Being 2 kills behind your lane opponent is bad, but if they have 60 less cs than you, then you're doing well. Practice farming and last-hitting in norms or customs.
- One of the hardest parts about the adc role is positioning. Both standard and circumstantial positioning are key. Standard positioning is knowing not to walk in first in a teamfight (ie common sense). Circumstantial positioning is what makes or breaks an adc. This is knowing when to go on the offensive in a potentially winnable teamfight, or knowing when to kite back and peel. Circumstantial positioning is hard to teach, and it comes with experience as well as common knowledge. Watching pro players and high-ranked adcs can help as well.
Hope this helps!
