Ideas for Season 5

First off, I think Riot should add a voice chat system for the game, similar to what Dota 2 has. A problem with the game is ranked not being taken as seriously, and with voice chat by holding down a button to talk or talking freely through an option can be very beneficial to make the game more serious and competitive, as well as giving help to your team. But this can be abused, through profane language, but of course there is a mute button. Also, the addition of a NA east server, so all those east coast players can play with the same ping as that to the west. These have most likely been talked about already, but I would really love to see it happen in game.

-I've decided to make revisions and add a bit, to be further explained. For the chat system, people say some agree and some don't, mostly because of being yelled or cussed at. I personally believe that it should be added, and if someone starts saying inappropriate things or is annoying, you can mute them just like in the game now but from voice, so it still adds communication, but also an option to opt out.

-For the servers part: The main prob;em I see hear is that if there were an East Coast server it would cut off players from the west playing the the east since there are 2 different servers, that some may not like. For example: a high elo east coast player can no longer soloq and get in a game with the pros, that are all on the west, blocking out the chance to get noticed, and as well as the chance to get looked at by professional teams. There a couple options of solutions to this: (1) move the entire NA server to a state somewhere in the middle, balancing ping throughout NA, but then the pros would probably relocate to that area, then make a new LCS studio, which may be tedious. (2) Make the 2 servers as stated above ^. (3) Not change it at all. (4) Hope Riot eventually will find a way or fix up east coast ping, maybe by having 1 server for out of game, but not ping to that server, yet ping to your actual state/province, and each have a separate in game ping location, but remotely all play on NA still, if that's even possible. (Even if it is, sounds like a lot of time/resources would be needed for that.)

-For new ideas not stated in my post yet: "MMR" or "match making rating" should be shown publicly. MMR is basically your private skill level measured in numbers that determines who you play. By doing this, it can help out all types of players, ranging from new to pro. New players that don't understand what mmr is can now learn and know what there mmr is and there skill level is, according to who they actually play, not just there league. And more skilled players that know what it is can now know for sure who they are matched up against easily.

-My last idea is changes to the Tribunal for Season 5. Being reported usually gives you a warning in game, and if you played League before, many know you shouldn't be penalized for all the reports given to you, as the person who reported isn't always right. There are many trolls, noobs, and even players with different personalities that all affect reporting. For instance someone reports a new player for not doing well, or being reported because of mistakes in game, etc.... we can all think of dumb reports. The most deadly is when a pre-made group of more than 2 players in normal games that don't like a person all reports that 1 guy, he can be punished heavily, and might not even be for the right reasons. Also, leaving of games or "afk" should be penalized harder, especially in ranked play. Yes, even I have to leave some games which is understandable, but also a lot of times while people leave is because they get mad, and they either exit the game completely, or afk and move every couple minutes so the game doesn't disconnect them.

-I think Riot should take all of this into consideration, and I would greatly appreciate it if a Riot employee responded as to why some of this is not changed or in the game and why, or if there in the process of doing it/ will start.

-Thanks for your time, Zeyb

Voice chat has been gone over and just as much people are against it as they are for it. I for one do not want to deal with people swearing at me through voice chat as well, insulting whatever they feel they can be mean about.

As for team/duo queues, most already use an external program like Skype.

Most people who want voice chat already use Skype or other programs, and enough people are against in game voice chat that Riot has no real reason to implement it. As for the servers, they are long overdue, but I believe Riot us at least taking steps to reduce server instability, and eventually new servers to improve ping for east coasters.

There are many trolls, noobs, and even players with different personalities that all affect reporting.

There is a system in place that filters out false/malicious reports.

Also, one report is the same as nine for the purpose of triggering a Tribunal case. This has always been the case, so as to reduce the influence of premade groups.

Also, leaving of games or "afk" should be penalized harder, especially in ranked play.

This is already true.

Upvoted just for voice chat. For a game that is the most competitive game in the world, voice chat should be a feature.

EDIT: And as far as East coast servers go, they should just move the servers to a more centralized location. Splitting the population in half is not a good idea and your other idea sounds exactly like a peer to peer connection which is the most horrible way to have online play. People who have good internet connection get penalized for this. If anyone has ever played Dark Souls pvp you know what I'm talking about. It would be abused and people would start downloading torrents in the background to create lag for themselves and would get an outrageous advantage. No thank you, just move the servers.

Is it bad that in the few games I played of Dota 2, I muted people who had gross voices.... But I honestly don't think LoL can handle voice chat yet, Dota 2 has a more "mature" audience than LoL as LoL appeals to the more casual and thus the more ragey players.
