If anything, Illaoi needs a buff to her late game team fighting. She never hit a 50% winrate even right after release and she's the type of champion that gets worse as player knowledge of her increases because her kit has so much counterplay. She does well in lane against a lot of players but after that she has nothing to do unless the enemy thinks it's a good idea to stand in her ult.

if you think Illaoi is OP, it's probably because you try to stand there and duel her

if you think Singed is OP, it's probably because you chase after him when he starts getting low

if you think Nunu is OP, it's probably because you walk towards the nearest bush when you're slowed by an unknown source

these are all equally intelligent ideas. Illaoi is not OP, she's just really good in a fight. she also doesn't have a way to start one, and relies on you, gullible damage-focused player that you are, to initiate on her, similarly to how a spider sits in it's spider web and just waits for dumb bugs to fly into their deathtrap.

tl;dr: don't bumble your way into Illaoi 's tentacle-hugs unless you fully intend to get tentacle'd
