I main top lane and i am decent at it about 230 games and 53% win rate,I played many champions but I am scared to go ranked and I only played games not to be unranked and never played again. So while I have time to practice a lot before s9 starts I want to learn 2-3 champions and maybe become otp. So my question is shoild i start playing only Pantheon,Garen or should I put a time into learning something hard like Gp (which i am playing currently and having a lot of fun,but also i have bad win rate) or Rumble? Question is will I be better if I totally master one easy champ or get decent at some hard champion, will I have better win rate on lets say 50 games with Pantheon or 50 games with Gangplank?

Put times in the champions you like most and bring you satisfaction when playing them.

Learning a meta and have mechanical skills is surely good but you aren't forced into certain picks if you want to be good, see how "pocket picks" can demolish the enemies even in worlds matches.

hi maybe watch a youtuber that matches your playstyle or has experience with insight. that way you dont have to grind without a plan. besides its a game. if you turn it into a job and not fun youll lose interest. find ways to reduce that grind(which if you take a break and come back may be changed or forgotten).

i havent played ranked yet but i was gonna play normals and get a team up and running b4 i played solo ranked. to reduce the unexpected frustrating stuff. but, the new job 1st and new computer 2nd. prioritys i also couldnt tell you a x in 10 games win rate to climb out of elo. its difficult because you can play casual or competitive in any game mode at any game time.

ive played panth a bit but not gp, neither of which i have what i feel enough exp or insight into. i do know, league feel firsts then any champ you want second. that way you can play any position and have that flexibility with a particular champ (ignoring meta for a moment).

sorry i could give any insight yet

well... you could play bots a few to serve as a warmup and to break any losing streak on paper so you dont get reported.(my bro taught me this) also find someone to play custom match against that way its one person one report if they decide to troll. and finally never play test a champ in normals or ranked.

Play the champions you gain the most satisfaction from.

You're overthinking this, especially for somebody so early in their league "career" as you since you're clearly thinking long term. Just focus on being comfortable with what you're playing with first. This might mean learning to become comfortable with simple champions to learn core mechanics, this might mean choosing the champions you're enjoying even if they're hard/you don't win as much with them. But what it always means is, at least for now, focus on enjoying yourself.
