@Meddler, @Riot, are there any proposed nerfs changes to Diana? I'd like to suggest a change.
Now, speaking as an enthusiastic and longstanding Diana main, I can't help but feel that Diana is on the radar for nerfs. I can't help but think that she has gotten stronger due to stronger mages being nerfed.
I recall there being discussion on changing her gameplay pattern from an assassin to an AP bruiser. That this could even involve swapping her E with her Ult.
Personally, I love Q+RR to kill a squishy. Fun for me, not so much them. This takes up too much of her power budget in my opinion. Yet another thing I enjoy as Diana, is initiating. Being chased by the enemy team, wildly pinging to go in and turning around to QW+R+E into the team before popping Zhonya's and watching my team go in on my damage is simply fun for me, good for my team, and capitalizes on the mistakes of my enemy. This means there's counterplay to this particular engage, similar to a champion like Amumu or Malphite; just don't stack when her E is up.
I'm nothing more than an armchair balancer, but in all games I've played, I've taken joy in thinking up reworks and kits.
I think Diana's shield should scale with her bonus health. Not the damage, but the value of the shield. I also like the idea of removing the base damage from her dash, and instead allowing it to proc on-hit effects, stack her passive and proc, as well as continue to scale with AP.
I honestly love the idea of swapping her ult and her E. This could instead make her E better and give her power by way of a standard ult cooldown. Currently, unless you are initiating, her E is lackluster as an assassin, and I often tap it out of habit after my target died from my initial combo.
Perhaps her new ult, pulls them in and sort of empowers her, like in her lore. She pulls in and damages units, and then maybe her passive's bonus attack speed is doubled or tripled and the cleave is bigger.
To me, this give and incentive for the Diana player to build tanky instead of glass canon and becoming psuedo-tanky via AP shield scaling. Perhaps some base damage buffs and ap scale nerf on other basic abilities?
would KILL for some sort of hard CC like that. And she still does more damage than most assassins in the game
