It's hard to enjoy the game now

I mean, I want Gold for the first time ever in the 4 seasons I have played this game (pathetic, I know) but it's so frustrating to play this game. My team gives up a kill and it's down hill from there 95% of the time it feels like and almost every game should be 15 minutes, where the game actually matters and decides almost always which team will win since snowballing is so easy now (and people rage at one another when one dies, cause that's the way to winning right?). Yeah I could win a game or two, but I'll lose as much to the same Ekko, Lucian, LeBlanc, Zed, etc champions as I win with them and I'll go nowhere. Anyone have any ideas to help me get to gold while enjoying myself?
