Why am I forced to play a 5 man or ARAM just to enjoy the game?

If it's already hard enough for me to win games with players that are familiar with their roles, who the flying flip thought shoving people in roles they don't play was a good idea? Autofill doesn't even realistically make the Queue shorter because dodges are that much more frequent. 3 dodges and then got a game where top lane RQ/afks. Can you just not?
