How to deal with Camille

  1. Force her out of her ult Camilles ultimate forces her target to stay in a target area. This, however, only persists if she remains within the area. Ahri Alistar AurelionSol Azir Blitzcrank Darius Diana Draven Fiddlesticks Fizz Galio Gnar Gragas Hecarim Janna Jayce Kalista Kled LeeSin Maokai Nautilus Orianna Poppy Quinn Riven Sejuani Shaco Shen Shyvana Singed Skarner Syndra TahmKench Taliyah Thresh Tristana Trundle Urgot Vayne Velkoz Vi Viktor Volibear XinZhao Zac Ziggs all have a way to manually manipulate the positions of their enemies, and could theoretically knock (charm, fear, carry in stomach) Camille out of her ultimate. Champions with heavy AOE damage can make her walk out of the ultimate of her own free will (who would tank a Rumble ult for no good reason?).

  2. CC her As annoying as it is to say "just CC her", it really is very effective. She relies a lot on the heal from her W to stay alive in fights, and if you can deny her control over her distance towards you, it will be hard to use. Additionally, she relies heavily on her second Q/E. If you can stop her from casting her second Q, or swat her out of the air with a displacement mid-grapple, she will be less effective.

  3. Pick someone Camille can't kill Camille is incredible at punishing the weak. If you are someone who can't duel Camille, she will all in you every time she has her grapple, and will definitely kill you every time she has ult. So, pick someone she can't kill easily. Chogath Darius DrMundo Ekko Fiora Irelia Jax Maokai Shen Singed Nasus are all either immovable objects in lane who can match Camille's sustain and bitch out of fights, incredibly dangerous fighters, or are Singed (even Camille will get pissed off at his proxy). This is mostly for Toplane Camille, but is also applicable to Jungle Camille when she starts split pushing.

  4. Build health and armor. Camille deals a lot of physical damage and a good bit of true damage. She relies quite a bit on her basic attacks. One could argue for Magic resist because of her ult, but no. That ult will undoubtedly be used to pin down a priority target, and if you are building tank, that likely isn't you. item 3143 is perfect; HP, armor, and an AS reduction that helps if she does end up ulting you.

  5. Put her behind. Look at what Camille offers. Her passive needs her to buy HP to be effective. Her Q needs you to buy AD or Sheen. Her ult needs you to be able to duel the target. So, what if her ideal target can kill her faster than she can kill them? Well, she has to go tank in order to not feed whoever she is ulting. While tank Camille will likely be just as scary as AD Camille (if Ekko taught us anything), she will likely be unable to 100-0 you in the 4 seconds of your ult.

  6. Bait her. Camille will almost always engage a fight with her E. This is dangerous for both parties. If it is successful in singling out an enemy, she will almost definitely kill them. It does, however, leave her vulnerable. Besides the (admittedly decent) speed buff on her Q, she has no defensive mobility once she has blown her grapple. So (as they say in the teaser), it doesn't matter if she gets the jump on your Jax if there is a Syndra waiting in the bushes.

  7. Ban her. Face it, you won't be able to internalize all this about the champion within the first patch, so you will probably get stomped. You also don't want your allies picking her. Just don't bother dealing with it. Hit her with the ban hammer for the first patch.
