Oracle's Extract is problematic in ARAM

Before Oracle's Elixir was removed from the main game modes for competitive League of Legends, it wasn't good for the general environment and playstyle of the game. Oracle's Elixir was basically a weaker version of Oracle's Extract. that even cost more, and it was still very problematic for basically deleting certain champions from enemy's team comp by rendering them useless. Oracle's Extract, in my opinion, is the least intuitive solution to problems in ARAM caused mainly by Teemo and Shaco (AP). The potion takes away all the fun that there is to playing champs like Teemo and basically causes the game to be a 4v5.

In short; Oracle's Extract renders AP Teemo and Shaco (and few others) useless as they usually lack the damage. Teemo only has 3 offensive abilities, two of which have a low range and other one is solely procced by auto attacks. AP Shaco loses the benefits of Q apart from the invisibility due to building AP and essentially making him useful only due to his W and E.

I have a couple of suggestions that might be better for the playability of these champions and ARAM as a game mode.

Oracle's Extract:

  • Increase cost, reduce radius, decrease active time (pure nerfs to the item)
  • Limit to one per team
  • Oracle's Extract shouldn't reveal units since it makes champions like Teemo and Shaco lose one more ability due to both having invisibilities and invisible traps
  • Make the champion lose the active effect when they die (just like Oracle's Elixir) to counter the cheap cost of the item

Teemo/Shaco/others:

  • Limit mushrooms to something like 10–15 (perhaps scales per level) to make CDR Teemo less frustrating to play against and to involve more skill in trap placement
  • Introduce a new trinket or maybe some functionality with poros that could reveal invisible traps, but make it less consistent than Oracle's Extract.
