Surviving Assassinations as Irealia

Around mid-game team fights Irealia becomes quite an efficient assassin. The only problem I have been having with that is surviving once I kill the ADC or AP carry. Any tips?

How to survive:

FIRST BUILD PATH An irelia build should typically look like this item 3078 item 3153 item 3111 item 3065 item 3143 This build will give you the damage you need to nuke the adc, but the stats to get out. But i'm assuming you want a mechanical play answer, well the answer is sort of like this. First off you shoulden't be making super risky plays without your flash. Communicate with your team about your cooldowns. Being a Irelia, to jump onto the adc with q and than kill, and flash out feels super good. Another thing you want to look for is to use minions or even enemy champions to jump on with your Q as a escape route, sort of like yasuo. But typically most the time the only way to get out as Irelia without flash is to fight your way out.

Typically assassins don't survive when they do what you mention. Your job is to find the enemy carry, nuke them with a full combo, and because of this even if you die, since you killed the primary enemy carry, your team should be able to win the team fight.

Think of it like this, an assassin is a character who has a combo rotation with fairly long cooldowns, but an adc and a APC typically have short cooldowns, thus making them very consistant damage, especially an adc.

TLDR-The adc is more valueable than a assassin, so if the assassin can take down the adc, even if the assassin dies, it's mathmatically worth it.

P.S -If you have a team of absolute clowns than it's not for they will lose the four v four anyways ._.

Uhh Irelia is more of a fighter, Sure you can burst down the ADC but if you're investing a lot of gold into offensive items and very little into defenses then that is why. item 3078 item 3053 item 3065 item 3742 item 3047 item 3143 is honestly not that bad. You still do plenty of damage and you can tank a lot

Though if you're ahead you can def sub out a defensive item item 3078 item 3153 item 3065 item 3742 item 3047 item 3143 item 3091 item 3156
