I alwyas wanted to be a support main. but i always tell myself i will when i get out of silver. i am having no luck i do decent in lane. dont feed. but my teammates always end up feeding/trolling/arguing(tilts me) and i lose the game. Has anyone climbed out of silver playing support.

I climbed from silver to diamond almost entirely as a solo support.
Preferred engage supports (specifically leona) in silver where people are just all in-ing everyone all day anyway, transitioned to mostly enchanters as elo went up and adcs became more reliable.
I did twice this season. I recommend Janna.

No, I am not saying this because support is a bad role or anything but in the silver elo what it means to carry with support is to keep the best player on your team alive or present kills. In silver elo no one is worth keeping alive nor giving kills to, I would recommend playing cho or nunu jungle till gold then you can go back to maining support, because ultimately silver is an elo were players are not decent, silver and bronze are the same pretty much gold is the average bracket and with decent players makes it worth supporting them. Also you depend heavily on your adc too, to not die and make the pther adc massive. Or you could brand and carry basically, i think support depends to much on ur team which I hate in solo q.
Honestly, low silver, prolly not unless your just a amazing sup ports who knows when to roam, and can consistently make good plays. I did mid and jungle. I had a lot of early success on pre rework rammus and playing around my stronger lanes. Aa rammus I'd basically pin point my strongest teammates and would live or die by that player. As Graves or Kha I'd pretty much do the same but I'd have to play more like a carry and less like a tank support.
I guess my point is, if you like support, you can just learn jungle and be a supportive tank and pick out of the 3 lanes to get fed. Specially in a meta where tank jgs are good.
