Matchmaking?

I am only a silver player, I play just for fun with friends usually trying out weird stuff, but we still like to win.. and the last 3 months I think ive played lets say 150 games just as a guess and i probably have lost 110 of them. All of the sudden the last few months, I have been placed against diamons and platinums every game. Without fail, nearly every single game i play has a platinum and/or diamond in it. and i end up going 0/10 in lane vs a cho gath who is plat 1 vs my silver 5 noob ass. This is not fun anymore im getting sick of it, i was told before it would fix itself with time but here we are 3 months later and I just went 1/13 vs a platinum 2 cho gath. This is not fun anymore .
