Gnar is just uneccesary

Sure, he's not really meta right now but his damage and CC potential is an abomination. I get first blood on him (as Ryze) I back and purchase tear + cloth armor and sapphire crystal. I dodge 8/10 Q's and have minion advantage. I back and get the glacial armor item go back to lane and die to his combo. What killed me? Wasn't really his damage but it was my inability to retaliate to his insane CC. Meaning if you get hit by R against the wall, you WILL get hit by Q and W.

On top of his insane CC his ratios are questionable. 120% AD on Q, 100% AD on W and 200 + 20% bonus AD at rank 1. It's not like I'm even being kited out, it's exclusively his CC combo. He gets AD boost, health boost, MR & Armor boost, huge gap closer and chain CC.

Remember when Ryze unleashed all fury with repeated CC, AoE damage, spell vamp and MS for gap close? Yeah, that shit got nerfed and reworked but other champions get to exist :)
