Ok I've come to a decision, Teemo top lane is a I suck so I will troll pick. I own nearly every champion, when I can't beat someone I play them, see how others counter. Learn the champ to understand weakness. No meele champ I've run across can deal with the blind. It's a total troll pick, the only affective strats, I've seen, is just take Ashe top. Other than out ranging, I have yet to see a meele champ win. Thoughts on a strat to counter? No amount of armor does the trick in this meta. Atrox and Sion or the only 2 I have yet to play/own with Teemo.

  2. Max out your Q.

  3. E the fucker.

  4. Start charging your Q towards him.

  5. W to reduce counter-attack.

  6. Watch as the little fuker squirms around in panic while being slowed by your E.

Yeah, armor probably isn't going to do much against Teemo, what with most of his damage being AP based.

Teemo is a lane bully to most melee champs. He's also really squishy so picking someone like MonkeyKing Pantheon who can basically oneshot him after getting a dirk and cheesing with summoner 14 . If your playing a tank like Sion,Malphite,Poppy,Etc start a item 1054 then rush an item 3194 then item 3047 basically making his Autos/E pretty much useless

Teemo is the reason I switched to Jax as a top laner.

And I am calling it - Riot needs to look into Teemo's kit. Replace the free invisibility with a camouflage like twitch's, nerf his movement speed by a bit and force him to build better boots to get that huge MS lead, and reduce the amount of free mushrooms wards he can toss out late game.

Oh how I wish the Irelia's -5 movement nerf was applied to Teemo instead. Most trolls only play Teemo because it's incredibly easy to kite most top tier tanks and juggernauts using him.

Garen is a good counter. Just pay attention to where he drops his shrooms, buy an Oracle and waste his W.

AP nasus lol. Or just spamming E while going the same Q max build. Doing an E max build with Garen also worked for some people before.

Overall against a teemo you want to rush merc treads as fast as you can. He deals magic damage in all parts of his kit, and the merc treads will help with lowering the duration of the blind.

Volibear make it to 6 by that time you should have backed for some MR and/or health. all in stay on him while waiting out blind ez ded Teemo don't even need ignite

Take Garen or Nasus:

Nasus you put 1 point into Q and max E first, rush Sheen and Spirit Visage. Ignore Teemo and use your ult to stack. You will quickly scale out of control.

Garen you Q towards Teemo, and when he goes to blind you tap W (reduce disable duration) and then E (unblindable AOE damage), then slap him with AA after it ends.

  1. If you know you're up against Teemo, try to pick somebody who relies on nukes more than auto attacks. Rumble is great for this reason.
  2. If you're playing a tank, item 1054 item 3211 plus second wind works wonders. If you aren't just taking free damage for no reason, his poison will work against him and provide you with tons of free sustain.
  3. At level 1, aggro the creeps for a short while before dipping into the bush to de-aggro. This forces the initial creep equilibrium to happen under the enemy tower, causing reinforcements to arrive sooner for the enemy. This will cause it to naturally push to your side of the lane, allowing you to set up a freeze. Assuming you can avoid dying before the freeze, this works wonders against lane bullies.
  4. Teemo is powerful in a 1v1, but his blind can only hit one guy. If he gets ganked, he's meat.
  5. Know his damage output. Teemo does a lot of damage early, but it's predictable damage, so you shouldn't be caught by surprise when he auto-Q-flash-auto-ignite's you.
  6. Just don't feed. Unless monstrously ahead, Teemo is very weak in teamfights due to his limited utility, situational steroid, and short range.
  7. Beat him at his own game. Teemo has tons of poke but zero innate sustain. In early laning, other poke champions can beat him. Pantheon, Jayce, and (again) Rumble are good at this.

DrMundo Mundo throw Q, Mundo farm gold-efficient tank items with Q. Mundo also reduce blind with W + item 3111 Slurp

pantheon or any other lane heavy ad caster the less centered around autos you are the better, if you have good reflex time when he uses q id go fiora into teemo, after level 6 as fiora you insta win lane against a teemo, rush item 3077 with merc treads into a item 3074, if your ahead grab item 3071 and if your still struggling get item 3139 he should be very easy to deal with

I personally play Swain into it. If I had to pick first, I cry a bit then prepare to farm under tower until my jungler finally feels like a kill since their almost always overextended.

As Rumble main, I never had problem with him, Dorans shield + W is so strong against any poke he will generate, I can safely farm with E and all in him relatively easily >lvl3. Yas is not bad either. Gnar is safe pick, but he is kinda out of meta. And basically any mage played in top imo(Viktorblind can fuk you up tho Ryze Cassiopeia ). After few levels you can have problems with good Ire or Akali. Panth is pain. There are probably more idk.

I've trashed teemo tops with morgana, land a bind or 2 and he dies. You just spell shield his blind when you need to and build some tanky useful stuff like ROA Mercs then any of: Liandry's Rylai's Zhonya Void Staff. You max w and afk the lane until a jungler comes, if he comes at you just slap a bind in his face and let minions aggro him.

But a typical teemo counter is anything that can all in him OR can survive the lane due to a self heal, meaning they naturally buy spirit visage which buffs their MR and their sustain like Warwick Maokai

I win against 80% of teemos. All you gotta do is pretend to go in so he wastes his blind or predict whether he isn't going to use it. Teemo is a hard champion to master just like any other, even garen (who has almost no mechanics to learn, but there still is game knowledge, map awareness etc.) His poison can be really annoying and i suppose that's why the community used to call him satan, but really nothing annoying or easy to know in my opinion, idk.

I am a renekton main though, so maybe this opinion isn't the best you can get, although teemo is supposed to counter renekton.
