A possible way to fix Evelynn

I think everyone understands by now that there is something wrong with Evelynn as a whole and why Riot is having problems balancing her. From what I can see though, she doesn't need a full remake. Instead, she could just use the following changes:

  1. Increase Evelynn's passive range at early levels, which slowly reduces every level until it's the same as live at around level 6-9. It continues to reduce slightly until level 18, making it a buff from live (Which is fine since it allows Evelynn to fulfil her gameplay fantasy at a stage of the game where it can be balanced).

  2. Make Hate Spike (Q) deal 50% increased damage to monsters OR have spellvamp against monsters (The latter merely increases her survivability without increasing her speed).

  3. Add a channel time (Around 1 second) to her ult which makes her pop out of stealth. Add a moderate amount of base damage (+ high AP ratio) on top of the % damage and increase slow duration. This makes her ult generally stronger as an assassination tool *if *she can land it. The channel time means it's counterable or can be reacted to. Evelynn should be able to have moments where she can FEEL like an assassin. Her ultimate can really be the enabler for that.

The goal for these changes would be to: A) Reduce early ganking ability. B) Increase ability to actually jungle. C) Allow her to actually be an assassin again but with more counterplay.

Would these solve all her issues? Maybe not, but I believe it's a good direction to go towards.

Agree with points 1 and 2, but making her ult channel isn't a good idea because it's the only cc in her kit and is primarily used for chasing. Stopping for 1 second to cast will pretty much let anyone just run right away from you. I do think it should do a minimum damage though.

How I would change the ult is put a min dmg and decrease the %health damage to compensate. Also make it %max instead of %current so you can get more value out of the ability for using it in ways other than initiation.

Her nuke combo is huge failure Her stealth is huge failure Her ult is huge failure.

She's supposed to be an assassin, not a freaking tank. Damage depends on % current hp.. In other words it deals close to no damage. On top of that she doesn't have decent combo.. Talon, Akali, Zed.. ALL OTHER ASSASSINS have high nukes and ability to run away. she has none..

Either revamp her or reverse to her old glory (just remove stun and give her slow instead)

Burst out of stealth is and always will be awful to play against.

It's the reason why OLD Eve was totally focused around sustained damage and was, frankly, a better designed champion than the abomination presently wearing her head like a hat.

So long as she can bypass green wards and drop her Ult on people with little in the way of ability to react her kit is always going to be watered down and awful. If Eve is ever going to get better her burst and passive both need to go.

I think she may be getting a mini (Cassiopeia Cassiopeia level ) rework, along with her thematic rework.

In light of this possibility, I think it would be cool to adjust her passive in such a way that it can be easily tuned and yet free up some power to the rest of her kit.

EXAMPLE

Shadow's Embrace

When Evelynn breaks vision with an enemy champion, she acquires stealth within .XX seconds for X.X seconds. When Evelynn has stealth, her basic abilities become empowered. Casting an ability breaks stealth.

The idea above is to turn her stealth into something combat oriented, that both gives her the chance to outplay the opponent and her opponent some ability to counter play it.

In addition it effectively would require her to show her presence in order to "prime" her passive. So the map pressure she brings is a lot less, giving them room to actually buff her abilities.

She CANT be an assassin as long as she keeps that passive of hers... Why do you think Rengar went through so many changes? Eve is in an even tougher spot because shes allowed to be stealthed ALL the time. She cant have both perma stealth and burst. She is in a bad spot and only a rework can possibly fix that

I highly disagree and down voted for varies of reasons,

  1. Evelynn needs a complete NEW kit, her skills look like they were made by a highschooler for a school project. It doesn't look eye appealing at all I mean look how they changed sion, atleast his skills are eye appealing.

  2. As a rioter mentioned before, Evelynn looks like shes into BDSM and it's basically watching a pornstar pixel running around smacking people and shooting spammable spikes hint " I like it when they scream"

  3. As I said in number 2 she looks like a pornstar who's in a scene of BDSM they need to come up with a new look for evelynn that doesn't have to involve with such exposure. I get that she's a Succubus mixed vampire but it looks more towards Succubus than a vampire and IT IS eye appealing but not worth maining a whoreish looking pixel.

Eve ignoring green wards in a world where pink wards can't be everywhere or kept safe is the reason she can't be balanced. Maybe if it didn't ignore wards until later in the game. (Like around the level you get your last point in your ult.)

I think a big issue with Eve atm is how mana hungry she is without blue buff. I think they could adjust the mana costs slightly on her Q to enable her to actually be capable of ganking + farming like all the other viable junglers. With that said, Eve is a very hard champ for Riot to make viable. Reason being is, if she's viable, she's going to be OP. She's just not a very balanced champ; her kit is VERY powerful. I think this is a big reason why Riot is afraid to change her. They don't want to make her god tier again(like they have the past two times they buffed her). Honestly, I think Riot just needs to junk some champs kits in order to make them a viable champ. Take Sion, for example, they practically gutted everything about the old Sion outside of the HP gain, and they managed to make him a viable champ without him being OP. This was only possible due to the fact Riot decided to take a completely different approach to Sion's kit rather than just trying to adjust some of the stats and skills. This is something they need to do with Eve. They need to realize that the changes to vision in s4 made it VERY difficult to detect a champ who can be perma-stealth. While this is one of the great things about Eve's kit, it's also why Riot can't give her shit for other perks(sustain, damage, tankiness, etc). I think we can all agree that Riot just needs to go back to the drawing board with her.

The 'simplest' fix would be to give her W 3 seconds of stealth on activation (maybe with the duration scaling by level) and then giving her a totally new Innate. That would allow the rest of her kit to be buffed significantly. Because in the state she's in right now buffing her in any particularly meaningful way isn't an option. Her kit doesn't allow it.
