Please Help Me Improve!

I'm Level Thirteen currently, and yes I know I have a long way to go. I've been having a hard time with games lately, along with limited time to play and some obnoxious supports. I play ADC BTW. I'm also pretty new to the NA league community, and I'm hoping someone can tell me the basics around the community. I need some tips down bottom lane, and I feel like I'm not dealing enough damage to secure the kills for my teammates. Is it just me, or the meta is holding me back as well? Please somebody help. Here are a few champions that I've been playing: Ashe Ashe Tristana Tristana MissFortune Miss Fortune Here are the items I prefer using, and I don't know even know if it's really right to use them: item 3072 The Bloodthirster item 3006 Berserker's Greaves item 3158 Ionian Boots Of Lucidity item 3085 Runaan's Hurricane item 3031 Infinity Edge I was just reading off some guides in MOBAFire, but I'm trying to find my playstyle as well. Please help guys!

One thing that people have been doing with ADC build paths is going item 1038 directly into an attack speed item, it gets you an earlier damage spike so you can do more early

item 3158 are not really worth getting on many ADC, Lucian Ezreal being the exceptions, mid-late game you want to be auto attacking a lot more than using abilities so the attack speed is better than the CDR.

i play every role EXCEPT adc some someone else here can help you better than i can... every champ u listed is an ADC

but first off i wouldn't go by "MOBAfire"

try http://www.lolking.net/guides/

however here are some things u should know

90% of the players below level 30 are NOT new players they are high lvl players on smurfs (aka alt accounts)

i am a high silver player.. and i made a smurf just to see how bad it really was.. even i get destroyed form the play + players...

there is no way a genuinely new person is going to stand a chance pvp until you hit lvl 30 and the high lvl smurfs start playing ranked.

try beginner bots and then go on to intermediate bots

intermediate bots are around a bronze 2 or 3 level

also keep in mind that last hitting the enemy minions (known as CSing, or CS for creep score) is the MAIN source of gold.. kill enemy players if u can but keep in mind that 12 creep are worth the same amount of gold as 1 player

also first and foremost the MOST important thing to learn is.

NOT DYING is 100X more important than getting a kill. the biggest problem is low elo games is players "feeding"

Do not read builds on the internet. Use the recommended build at first, then see what item seems to be better than others. Take it slow, if you are not leaving soon, you have plenty of time.

The first thing you have to learn and practice constantly is last hitting your minions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfmm40Ow-T8 ^^^Will help you immensely. It did me.

Tristana Ah, my second love. Where do I begin... This is an old video but a good one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdQSuM0oRhw Laning tips: a. Keep the minions between you and the enemy while you CS. b. Only harass the enemy when they get too close. c. Back when you feel that you can kill you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6_XCrZAT6M d. Don't be afraid to give up your lane if it means you're denying your opponent a chance to kill you. e. In team fights, stay behind your tank. You have range. Use it. Only jump into the fray if you think you can come back out of it without dying.

Build and point spread.

  1. Start with Doran's Blade and a health pot. Use Flash and heal for summoners spells. The Heal spell gives you a bit of a speed up and can really help you out of a pickle.
  2. Use your Auto attacks to last hit minions. Your auto attacks also help stack your E.
  3. Start with her E. This will help you harass the enemy when they get too close.
  4. Put your next point in W. This will give you an extra escape. I know you probably like to use it to engage, but there are times when you need to get out of a bad situation and not feed the other ADC. Only use it to engage if you think you can kill them before they get to you.
  5. Put your next point in Q.
  6. On your first back, get BF sword and boots.
  7. You should max E first, Q second, and W third. Put a point in R when it comes up. You can use your R to spread out the enemy to get out of a situation and deny the enemy a kill, but you can also use it to finish off an enemy, if you feel they are low enough.

This is where some people may disagree with me. item 3094 or item 3087 are your friends. They speed up your attack and are more cost efficient than item 3031. I use the Cannon because you have the chance that one of your attacks will have more range. item 3036 is good because of item 3035. Pick up Last Whisper for the armor pen. You'll need it. item 3036 is good for straight tanks. item 3033 is good for compositions with champs that have regen and self heals due to the fact it gives grievous wounds. item 3006 add speed and attack speed.
item 3085 is really good for more attack speed and crit. item 3072 if you need sustain. item 3156 and item 3139 give you Magic resist. I recommend item 3139 for the item 3140, because it gives you the ability to negate stuns, roots, and other movement hampering abilities. This is crucial due to the fact that all ADCs are squishy and stopping us wrecks us. item 3026 Gives you both armor to last longer and magic resist against AP champs. Yes, it does take up a slot where you could be doing more damage, but lasting longer means less kills for the other team. If you just want more damage and you have the gold, go item 3031.

Runes: Armor Pen reds Armor yellows Magic Resist blues Attack speed quints All flat and not scaling. These are tier three runes, but you could find comparable tier one and two runes that do the same.

The last bit of advice is to practice this in bots. Intermediate bots are harder than beginner bots and will give you a but of a challenge. Also, ask some of your friends to play 1v1 in custom game so you can learn the capabilities of your champ and who you're playing against. Learn other champs as well. Know the range of other ADCs will help you to know how to avoid shots. The same goes for learning how to counter supports.

I am still learning Ashe, and I don't really play MissFortune that much; so, I can't help you there. I hope this helps.

You can also go on Mobafire for more help on your champs.
