Anivia is ruined

My most favourite champion, Anivia, is now completely ruined.

I understand the reasoning for her changes. like making q stun scale (instead of constant 1.0, +.1 per level), making it more rewarding to hit the stun and more impactful later in the game but her ult is what MAKES anivia. Now she is completely broken and not in the good way. Her ult is what was crucial in every single ability she has. Max range ult would just barely hit people, slowing them enough for you to wall them at max range or hit q with the very tip. Now that her ult has been so badly nerfed her whole kit is less than satisfactory.

Reason why I believe they would change her ult to grow - wave clear is too strong and distance was too overwhelming perhaps? But honestly it has been completely gutted. She strives when the opposing team is out of position and now, she feels so under-tuned to what her identity was. Slow burst mage that capitalizes on positioning.

A reasonable fix to her ult would be to double the rate of expansion. It takes 3 seconds to fully grow from 150 to 550 radius (was 400 before). to cast her ult is 75 mana, per second is 50 mana. It takes 225 mana for it to be full size. The problem isnt the mana its the rate at which it grows. Most fights you will never let the storm go full size because of 1. Kiting, 2. CC (any form of CC will interrupt her ult) 3. Cooldown doesnt start until you cancel your ult. In my opinion, her ult should grow to full radius in 2 seconds, cooldown START on cast, and keep "Final Form" but reduce the AP ratio on her ultimate.

If the above isnt ideal then perhaps just change the starting radius from 150 to 300, reaches full 550 radius in 2.5 seconds (instead of 3). Reduce ap ratio on ultimate.

Or possibly change the full radius to 650 radius in the full 3 seconds with reduced ap ratio.

Reference. " new FINAL FORM At maximum size, Glacial Storm’s damage, chill duration and slow are increased by 50% "

What are your thoughts?

Thank you,

upvoting solely because i understand how it feels to have such a small impact radius with your ult #ridiculousskillshots Xerath main

Her ult now is so unfulfilling. If your trying to combo R > E its like you either gotta really aim that R or you just screwed up your E damage potential. Also alot of champs can just walk away from her ult because it doesnt slow them enough for it to grow large. I'm really hoping they either put some super slow on her R. Or they just revert her R back to normal or like a quarter less in radius from previous.

I dodnt know why the change the Ulti... little CC like Alistars Combo or something else and that was with her ulti + CD about 7Sec.

Only Bronze Players thinks Anivia is a Beast. Maybe in Late Game but she is not easy to Master and to get CS with her is not funny...

I am verry sad about this changes

Who didn't Riot ruin? The sheep will tell you Malz but any old school Malz player will tell you they ruined Malz just so they could tack on that passive for some dumb reason.

Honestly, FUCK Anivia's ult in its previous state. NOBODY used it as anything more than a slow for her critical E unless using it to escape from a gapcloserless melee. I agree, this change makes it trash, this change made no sense gameplay wise, but FUCK her previous ult. It was ultra cancerous and needed a change (maybe not this one but still) from pressing E and then R'ing before the E lands.

Please revert these ult changes.

I think they changed anivia's ult to try to make her more interactive in lane. What happened instead was she became even more passive because she has almost no ability to trade now.

I personally thought her ult was a little bit too large originally and could have used a slight change, but I will agree what they did with the radius on it really seems gutted - but perhaps it will just take some time for people to learn how to use it properly
