Abusing the ability to REPORT someone!?!

So I'm mostly writing this forum to vent a little! Was in a few different games where things didn't go my way! I didn't ABUSE anyone! i just noted the circumstances of where I MYSELF was going wrong! For example, i was playing jungle in a game where I couldn't get a gank in to save my life! I got behind, and i complained about it! I said this sucks, we're going to lose because i'm so far behind. We lost. And then someone reported me! and Now i'm on chat restrictions!? Is that ridiculous?

What BS. You don't get chat restricted from a single report. Since you are, it means you've been reported multiple times recently.

i feel like this should be in help &support. See if a rioter can shed some light on your restriction and maybe get it lifted

You can contest restrictions through a support ticket and request chat logs. You probably said some things you forgot, or were being sarcastic and didn't think it could offend.

While it's possible you were reported wrongfully in this one game (we'll assume you're being completely straightforward for the sake of argument), chat restrictions aren't levied based on a single game's reports. You had to have racked up numerous reports in recent games to be taken to the brink of punishment.

Players who frivolously report in one instance are likely prone to doing it in other games. The system weighs reports differently, and someone who is guilty of frivolous reports doesn't have the same report strength as people who only submit serious reports. Their reports may end up being negligible (unsure of the report weight floor) over time. Still, taking into account how punishments are supposed to work, I doubt you'd get this particular one overturned since you'd have to have already built up numerous offenses.

In most cases, I feel a lot of chat restrictions are warranted. The main reason why I feel a LOT of people feel that their chat restriction/ban is unjustified is because they are saying things that they don't necessarily see as offensive, but others take it that way. Your best route is probably to reflect on what you have been saying and work on only saying game related things or objectives, such as invading, asking/giving buffs, taking towers, dragons, baron, etc... . Outside of these things, it usually isn't too productive to talk because you're wasting time you could be playing and are talking instead.
