used to be balanced because he was a hard to fight AP tank but lacked CC or range. Now this AP/Tank/ranged assassin can pull people from a Q distance away, follow up immediately with his Q, assassinate anyone at the click of an R which forces the enemy team to build a which disrupts most early/mid game builds and even if you build a you can't use it to help your teammate, and is impossible to single out in team battles because he's rewarded for existing with face shredding passive damage and a shield he can pop or use to heal himself. Also no mana requirement so this safe, unfightable champ can just keep spamming pull/smash to his hearts content. I've looked up on champion.gg what champs counter him and their suggestions are laughable. All too often I see teams with 50+ kills and literally has more than half of them and the only reason the others have kills is because they can pick off kills in the wake of death this champion leaves behind him.

Morde's pull is one of the more telegraphed/delayed abilites in the game, it is not that hard to sidestep even without boots. Yes he can be oppressive when he gets ahead but thats a lot of champs.

He cant spam pull. Its early cd is so long it can barely be used once a wave and even late game its super punishing to miss a pull

i'm fine with his mechanics outside of his passive and the W granting sustain (why?????) his scaling is just wonky as fuck. you can crush him to dust and once he hits lvl 11 and has a rylais, welp you lose from then on. you aren't gonna out trade him. you aren't gonna do more dmg than him in a 1v1 unless he has no hands (apologies to any handless morde players) if you want to stop him removing a major player from your team...well iunno what you do just yet. dogpile him and hope he just gets blown up i guess.

While I agree that Morde's kit is overloaded, I dont agree with your reasons. He has same issue as Darius: Stupid amounts of MR/Armour pen and Passive that does dmg.

Let me remind you that not only does Morde's passive do this stupid "can't fight me in meelee" aura, but he also gets bonus dmg on aa: 40% of his AP. With items you have around 200-ish AP. So his every AA now deals around 150 mixed dmg, which is stupidly too much for someone who is supposed to deal dmg by spells.

Just CC, and nuke him. It works on 100% of the champions in lategame.

His ult can be negated with QSS.

Mobile ranged champs can beat him on lane.

With these added he is perfectly balanced.

Thats it, thats the fucking secret. His numbers overall aren't that great, so you either overstayed or had several summoners blown to kill you by a halfway decent gank. His scaling is bananas but that's why you stop him early. Jungle morde has kinda awful clear until like level 5, which is pretty damn far in the game, and lane morde just has semi okay sustain and the fact that he's manaless. Don't separate from minions to avoid the q bonus damage and you'll prolly be fine, his grab is a stupid long cd so when he whiffs that all in his ass

Half the time when morde ults someone he ends up dying because he can't 1v1 duelists on equal terms. The other times he gets cced/kited and can't do anything. I think the only reason why it's so frustrating is that when you launch all your spells at him and he ults you, they all just dissapear and you're left with everything on cd.

His kit is fine, his ult is the only thing that isn't. His ult is nothing but straight up bullshit.

Think you underestimate the mechanical skill level of most players. Most gold/silver assassins will outmaneuver Morde. Most gold mages will outfarm him.

Morde isn't a tank, if he builds tanky he loses dps and becomes weak.

The reason he becomes a problem is lack of coordination. When he moves towards his targets if everyone else moves in he is dead. Now if everyone walks up to a tower and runs and leaves the adc wide open, well you deserve a fed Morde to put you out of your misery. That's why he does so well in solo q.

I play Kayle into him. Works pretty nice. If he ukts you I ult myself and use zhonyas after. You can usually duel him easily anyway though after 3 items and level 11 on kayle.

if you dodge morde's ulti by using an invulnerability ability or getting out of vision while he's casting, his ultimate doesn't actually go on cooldown. that's just a visual bug on the morde's screen. no I'm not joking about this

I just play Udyr -- Wit's End and BoRK, then e q and shove your hands so far up the ulting Morde's ass you get to use him as a Muppet.

Unless he's stupid fed, works every time.
