Smurfing in low elo

Silver 1 player here... I know that playing against higher elo players will help me learn, however, I'm struggling with the fact that nearly 100% of my games have a few plat+ smurfs in them... Oftentimes an actual Silver player will be matched against a smurf, and will get crushed to the point where the game is basically lost; heavily skewing players' rank because games are often decided by who gets carried by the smurf(s) or not.

Can anything be done about this ancient issue? I for one am just tired of seeing a plat+ God Fist Lee Sin wrecking shit in my games, whether he's on my team or not.
